Uttar Pradesh orders hospital pharmacies to display medicine prices from November 1

The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order requiring hospital pharmacies to display the purchase and sale prices of medicines from November 1 onwards. The move aims to bring transparency in medicine pricing and prevent overcharging at hospital pharmacies.
The directive applies to all hospital pharmacies in the state, making it mandatory to clearly show both the cost price and retail price of medicines to patients. Officials said the measure will help patients understand pricing structures and ensure fair practices in the healthcare sector.
