Warangal woman rescued from alleged confinement in Muscat after BRS intervention

Mohammed Mahamuda from Warangal travelled to Oman on July 16 on a tourist visa after being promised domestic work. She was allegedly handed over to a sub-agent, who confiscated her passport and mobile phone and confined her to a room.

The Bhatneer Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party intervened in the matter, leading to her rescue from the alleged confinement in Muscat. The case highlights ongoing concerns over trafficking and exploitation of migrant workers from Telangana.
