Water Resources Department seeks more Krishna water from Andhra Pradesh

The Water Resources Department has written to Andhra Pradesh seeking an increase in water release from the Kandaleru reservoir due to a sharp decline in Krishna water inflow into the city. This marks the second such request from WRD to Andhra Pradesh in two months.

An official stated that current storage levels in city reservoirs are sufficient to meet demands through December. However, the dwindling inflow has prompted the department to seek additional water supplies from the neighboring state to ensure adequate reserves for the coming months.
