Yes Bank shares surge on UPI charge benefits, analysts bullish
Yes Bank shares rose sharply on Wednesday following analyst notes from Citi and Morgan Stanley identifying the lender as a key beneficiary of newly introduced MDR charges on select UPI transactions above Rs 2,000.
Citi expects the lender and other banks to gain an earnings boost from the charges, while Morgan Stanley projects a smaller profit benefit than it had estimated previously.
