Anu Sikka Joins Jio Studios as Head of Animation

Mumbai: Veteran media executive Anu Sikka has joined Jio Studios as Head of Animation, marking a new chapter after stepping down as Executive Vice President and Business Head of Kids Entertainment and Infotainment at JioStar. Sikka's career with Viacom18 spanned over two decades until the merger of Reliance Industries and Walt Disney Company's media businesses.

At Jio Studios, Sikka will leverage her extensive experience in animation, children's entertainment and content development. During her tenure at Viacom18, she played a key role in developing popular Indian animated properties including Motu Patlu, Shiva, Keymon Ache and Pakdam Pakdai. Her leadership of the children's entertainment cluster resulted in over 650 hours of original programming.

Sikka also oversaw acquisition and localisation of international properties such as Ninja Hattori, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Doraemon. She managed content strategy, programming, scheduling and consumer products across her media career.
