AC Technician Dies After Falling From 11th Floor Of Bandra Building
An air-conditioning technician died after falling from the 11th floor of a 29-storey building at the Ten BKC complex in Bandra Kalanagar on Saturday. Ziyadul Shamshujuha Huda, 27, was fitting an outdoor AC unit outside a window when the incident occurred at 12:30 pm.
Kherwadi police detained supervisor Indrajit Chauhan, 30, and AC contractor Tashvar Ali Ibbarat Ali Mansuri, 28, on charges of negligence. Police said the two claimed Huda had been provided a safety harness, but it remained unclear whether he had fastened it properly or if they had checked it before assigning the work. Huda wore a safety belt but no helmet.
A co-worker assisting Huda told police the technician lost his balance and fell. A pedestrian alerted a patrolling police vehicle. Huda, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, suffered multiple injuries and died before reaching Sion Hospital.
