AI Adoption Fails Without Proper Onboarding, Says Enterprise Expert

Many enterprise AI initiatives fail to deliver expected business impact despite significant investments, according to project management expert Sapna Baalwan. Organizations often assume the hard work ends at technology deployment, but the real challenge emerges afterward when teams must integrate AI insights into daily operations.
AI adoption requires more than platform training. Users must understand when to trust AI recommendations versus applying human judgment, how outputs connect to their responsibilities, and what actions should follow AI-generated insights. Many technically successful AI projects remain operationally weak because organizations have not redesigned workflows around the new technology.
Baalwan notes that the core issue is translation—connecting AI outputs to real business challenges and operational priorities. Traditional software onboarding focuses on features and processes, but AI demands deeper understanding of when and how to apply recommendations within organizational context.
