AIKS to Mark 90th Anniversary in Telangana, Mobilise October 23 Protests Against SIR

The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) will hold its 90th-anniversary conference in Telangana while mobilising participation in nationwide protests scheduled for October 23. According to Dhawale, farmers, trade unions, student, youth and women's organisations, and civil society groups are expected to participate in the demonstrations.
The October 23 protests are being organised against what the AIKS identifies as the SIR—likely referring to a policy or legislative measure the organisation opposes. The anniversary conference will serve as a platform to coordinate the broader movement across participating groups.
The initiative reflects AIKS's continued role as an umbrella organisation for agrarian and allied movements in India, leveraging its institutional milestone to galvanise civil society participation in wider socio-political concerns.
