Ajmer jail in-charge arrested for unauthorised removal of female inmates

A suspended in-charge at Ajmer Central Jail has been arrested after taking two female inmates serving life sentences out of the facility without authorisation. On July 12, Divya Chaudhary removed the prisoners in a private vehicle without obtaining court permission, allegedly to work at a residential property.
The arrest came two months after the incident was reported. The inmates, both convicted of murder, were taken outside jail premises in violation of standard prison protocols that mandate court approval for any such movement.
