Akhilesh Yadav accuses government of 'massive malpractice' over CEC row

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday accused the government of "malpractice on a massive scale" in connection with the Chief Election Commissioner row. The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister also alleged that the ruling dispensation was engaged in arbitrary governance and operating a bulldozing regime that undermines constitutional values.

Yadav's remarks come amid ongoing tensions between opposition parties and the government over Election Commission matters.
