Ali Khan's Bouncer Clears Pollard, Wicketkeeper and Boundary in Cricket's Strangest Moment

A bizarre incident occurred at BC Place in Vancouver during the Canada Super 60 when USA fast bowler Ali Khan bowled a short delivery to Kieron Pollard. The bouncer climbed sharply and travelled completely over Pollard's head, the wicketkeeper, and landed directly outside the boundary without touching the bat.
Initially, spectators believed Pollard had been awarded a six. However, cricket laws state that a six can only be scored when the ball touches the bat before crossing the boundary. The delivery was instead called a wide, with four additional runs awarded as byes, giving the batting side five runs total.
The short boundary at BC Place contributed to the unusual nature of the incident. The moment quickly caught fan attention, with many left puzzled by how a ball that went straight out of bounds could result in a wide rather than a six.
