Government cannot force private landowners to execute sale deeds: Allahabad High Court

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that the government cannot compel private landowners to execute sale deeds for land acquisition. The court directed authorities to refrain from harassing petitioners or forcibly obtaining their consent for executing such deeds.
The court clarified that voluntary sale and compulsory acquisition are two distinct legal processes that must be kept separate. This distinction ensures landowners' rights are protected when the government seeks to acquire private land.
