Indian School of Agriculture should empower farmers as CEOs, says Anant Ambani

Anant Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries, has called for the Indian School of Agriculture to help farmers become entrepreneurs of their own farmlands. He highlighted the role of technology in transforming agricultural practices and farmer livelihoods.
Ambani pointed to AI applications that can alert farmers to pest attacks and assist in market decisions—such as helping tomato growers in Madanapalle determine optimal timing and locations for selling produce. He also emphasized greenhouse technology's potential to enable year-round cultivation, reducing seasonal dependencies and improving productivity.
