Andhra Pradesh promoted as global manufacturing hub amid investment surge

Andhra Pradesh ministers presented the state as an emerging global manufacturing destination at a Confederation of Indian Industry regional summit in Visakhapatnam. Officials underscored the state's rapid industrial growth trajectory, citing cumulative investments exceeding ₹8.67 lakh crore over the past two years.

Foreign Direct Investment inflows have shown sharp growth, jumping to $608 million in 2025–26 from $92 million in 2023–24. The state government emphasized these metrics to attract further capital and position Andhra Pradesh as a competitive hub for multinational and domestic manufacturers.

The pitch reflects the state's broader strategy to capitalize on India's manufacturing ambitions and the global trend of companies diversifying supply chains beyond traditional manufacturing centers.
