Annamalai targets July launch for new political party

K Annamalai, after stepping down from the BJP, is moving to convert his 'We the Leaders' movement into a formal political party by July. The organization has already attracted 18 lakh members and aims to introduce fresh leadership to address key state issues.

Annamalai has emphasized bringing in new ideas while discarding outdated approaches. The proposed party plans to introduce term limits for politicians as part of its governance agenda. It also intends to focus on pressing issues including the drug menace.
