Apple Rolls Out iOS 27 With Major Siri AI Overhaul

Apple has announced that iOS 27 will launch on September 14, featuring the most substantial overhaul of Siri to date. The update is compatible with iPhones from the iPhone 11 onwards, though the most advanced Siri AI capabilities are restricted to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 or later due to additional on-device memory requirements.

The new Siri gains a dedicated app for managing conversations and revisiting past exchanges. It can now follow multi-step conversations without repetition, view and understand on-screen content, access personal information for contextualised responses, and execute tasks within apps like Messages, Music, and Reminders. The Camera app will also integrate Siri for object identification and information retrieval.

Siri conversation history will sync privately across Apple devices via iCloud, allowing users to continue requests across different gadgets. The Photos app receives enhanced editing capabilities alongside these updates.
