Arunachal Pradesh forfeits Ranji Trophy opener; Nagaland withdraws

The BCCI informed stakeholders in Ahmedabad that Arunachal Pradesh's opening Ranji Trophy fixture would not proceed due to an ongoing crisis within the state cricket association. Following this notification, Nagaland, scheduled to face Arunachal Pradesh, also did not travel to the venue.
The forfeiture marks a significant disruption to the domestic cricket calendar. Uncertainty now surrounds the scheduling of subsequent fixtures involving the affected teams, with questions remaining about how the competition will proceed given the administrative turmoil at the Arunachal association.
The BCCI's decision reflects the gravity of the internal governance issues that have rendered the state association unable to field a team for the tournament.
