Assam's revised tea incentive scheme boosts CTC exports with production subsidies

Assam has revised its tea incentive scheme to strengthen exports of CTC and specialty tea varieties. The updated framework introduces a ₹3 per kilogramme bonus for single-origin Assam tea exports, alongside enhanced production subsidies for Orthodox and Specialty tea.

The scheme also expands working capital assistance and includes Matcha tea in its coverage. The measures aim to improve tea quality and competitiveness while supporting the Guwahati auction platform, a key sales venue for the state's tea industry.
