Australian Vlogger Harassed on Kolkata Street, Video Goes Viral

An Australian travel content creator Marco Roams shared a video from his visit to Kolkata showing an uncomfortable encounter with a local man who repeatedly requested a kiss despite being declined. The man, sitting in a rickshaw, persistently approached the tourist and held his hand while Marco attempted to leave the area.

Reacting to the experience, Marco described the interaction as harassment and questioned why such behaviour occurs. The video, posted on Instagram, quickly gained thousands of views and sparked widespread discussion online.

Social media users condemned the behaviour, emphasising the importance of respecting personal space and consent. Some viewers called on local authorities to address the issue, while others noted such incidents should not be normalised regardless of circumstances.
