Chandrashekhar Azad plans district protests after Delhi Police denies Jantar Mantar permission

The Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan alleged that Delhi Police denied permission for a pro-reservation protest scheduled for September 24 at Jantar Mantar, just two days before the planned event. The party had announced the demonstration on September 17.
Following the reported cancellation, Azad called for district-level protests across the country on the same date instead, asserting the movement would continue despite the alleged denial. The party promoted the September 24 programme on social media using slogans like "24 September Chalo Jantar Mantar."
The date holds historical significance, marking the anniversary of the 1932 Poona Pact, which replaced B.R. Ambedkar's demand for separate electorates for the 'Depressed Classes' with a system of reserved seats under a joint electorate.
