Bandra Terminus to build 3,700-capacity holding area after 2024 stampede scare

Bandra Terminus in Mumbai is set to get a new 3,700-passenger holding area as a safety measure following a stampede scare in 2024. The facility aims to better manage passenger flow and prevent overcrowding during peak hours at the busy railway station.
The holding area is part of infrastructure improvements planned to enhance crowd management and passenger safety at the terminus.
