BCCI to raise domestic umpire pay by 30%, hike match referee fees

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has approved a 30 per cent salary increase for domestic umpires during its annual general meeting. Match referee fees will also be hiked as part of the restructuring.
The move is intended to strengthen accountability within the umpiring system. Future appointments will be determined by performance assessments rather than routine selection, officials said.
