BCCI to decide on selection committee chairman after October 4

The BCCI will announce its decision on the next chairman of the Indian men's selection committee after October 4, the board's secretary said. This comes after Ajit Agarkar informed the BCCI on September 18 that he does not wish to extend his three-year tenure as chairman of the selection committee.
Agarkar's contract as head selector is set to expire, and his decision not to pursue an extension has prompted the board to begin the process of identifying his successor. The BCCI is expected to finalize the appointment following the October 4 deadline.
