West Bengal CM warns attackers of jailed TMC leader: imprisonment and asset seizure

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has issued a stern warning to those who attacked Falta police station in South 24 Parganas district to secure the release of arrested TMC leader Jahangir Khan. Adhikari warned that not only will the attackers face imprisonment, but their properties will also be seized and auctioned.
Eight people have been arrested so far in connection with the incident, with police identifying Jahangir Khan's wife as the main conspirator. Khan was arrested on June 8 near the India-Nepal border in North Bengal on charges including extortion. During a government outreach programme on June 17, Adhikari stated that anyone visible in videos of attacks on police and paramilitary personnel would face action.
