Bengal announces Durga Puja support measures: grants, DJ restrictions, liquor outlet closures

The West Bengal government has announced several measures ahead of the Durga Puja festival. Electricity charges and fire-clearance fees have been waived for puja committees, aimed at reducing their financial burden.

Liquor shops and bars will remain closed on Maha Ashtami as part of the festival restrictions. Additionally, DJs have been banned during specific puja-related celebrations.
