West Bengal HC clarifies Yoga Day attendance not mandatory for govt staff

The West Bengal High Court has intervened in the row over road closures and attendance directives related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Yoga Day event. The court directed police to ensure adequate alternate routes are available during the Red Road closure.

The HC also clarified that government orders do not make attendance at the Yoga Day event mandatory for state employees, addressing concerns raised over compulsory participation.
