Bengal Railways to run 10 special trains for festival season, alter EMU services for idol immersion

Indian Railways has announced the operation of 10 special trains across West Bengal to manage the expected rush during the festival season. The move is aimed at accommodating increased passenger traffic during Durga Puja celebrations.
Beyond the additional trains, railway authorities have also scheduled changes to Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) services to facilitate idol immersion ceremonies. These service alterations are designed to balance regular commuter needs with the special requirements of the festival period.
The initiatives reflect the railways' effort to ensure smooth transportation for devotees and travellers during one of Bengal's most significant cultural events.
