Bengaluru Metro to Deploy Mini AC Buses for Last-Mile Connectivity

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation plans to deploy mini air-conditioned buses across all Namma Metro stations to address last-mile connectivity challenges for commuters. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between metro stations and final destinations, improving overall public transport efficiency.
The BMTC's live tracking application will be integrated with cab aggregator platforms, allowing seamless coordination between metro services and ride-sharing options. This move is intended to create a more cohesive urban mobility ecosystem and encourage greater use of public transport infrastructure.
The proposal seeks to enhance passenger convenience and reduce dependency on private vehicles for short-distance travel within the city.
