Bengaluru Police Deny Permission for CJP Tiranga March, Cite HC Order

Bengaluru Police have denied permission for a Tiranga march planned by the Citizenship Justice Party (CJP), citing a High Court order that specifies the venue for public protests. The CJP had sought to hold the march at Town Hall, but the police said the court directive restricts such gatherings to Freedom Park. Police cited the existing order as the reason for rejecting the application, stating that the designated venue must be adhered to for any sanctioned protest or march.
The High Court order in question establishes Freedom Park as the authorized location for public demonstrations and protests in the city. Any deviation from this venue requires separate court approval or fresh permissions. The CJP has not yet announced alternative plans or whether it will approach the court to modify the venue.
