BJP hits back at Prashant Bhushan's 'regime change' remarks

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra launched a sharp counter-attack on advocate Prashant Bhushan's remarks about 'regime change', stating that India is neither anyone's private property nor belongs to a single family, but to 140 crore citizens.
Patra alleged that Bhushan's statement confirms what the BJP has long maintained—that Rahul Gandhi and his associates are seeking to orchestrate a power grab without contesting elections. He claimed their intent has nothing to do with welfare issues but solely with seizing power at any cost.
Patra emphasised that the constitutional process for changing governments is through elections held every five years. He pointed to multiple electoral cycles—2014, 2019, and 2024 Lok Sabha elections and state elections—where power transfers occurred democratically. He accused the opposition of lacking faith in this democratic process and believing in anarchy instead.
