BJP launches 10-day march against corruption in Congress government
The BJP has launched a 10-day padayatra (march) to protest alleged corruption in the Congress-led state government. The party is focussing on charges of misuse of Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) funds, as well as the administration's handling of drought relief.
BJP leader Vijayendra has predicted that another senior minister from the ruling Congress party will resign in the coming days. The opposition party is using the march to broaden its protest campaign and intensify pressure on the government over governance and financial irregularities.
