BJP Highlights Haryana Women's Aid Over Punjab's Lower Benefit Ahead of 2027 Poll

The BJP is targeting Punjab's women voters by highlighting the difference in cash transfer schemes between Haryana and Punjab ahead of the 2027 state elections. Haryana provides ₹2,100 monthly under its women's welfare scheme, while Punjab offers ₹1,000 under its programme.
The contrast is being used by the BJP as part of its electoral strategy against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab. The party aims to underline what it frames as unfulfilled promises and lower welfare benefits to capture support among Punjab's substantial women electorate.
The move reflects BJP's strategic positioning in Punjab, where it seeks to erode AAP's base before the 2027 state elections.
