BJP sweeps Bengal bypolls, breakthrough in Muslim-majority Rejinagar

The BJP achieved significant gains in West Bengal bypolls, winning in both Rejinagar and Nandigram constituencies. The party's performance marks a notable shift in voter preference across the state.
In Rejinagar, a Muslim-majority constituency, the BJP's vote share surged from approximately 27% to 63%, representing a substantial increase and a breakthrough in a traditionally challenging demographic. This gain is particularly significant given the constituency's composition.
In Nandigram, the BJP improved its vote share from nearly 50% to 76%, consolidating its position and widening its margin further. The dual victories underscore the party's expanding appeal in West Bengal, a state where it has been steadily gaining ground.
