Ajay Devgn's Team Clarifies BMC Demolition Was At Rented Property, Not Residence

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn's team issued a clarification after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished portions of a property in Mumbai's Juhu area over alleged unauthorised construction. The team stated that the property in question is not Devgn's residence but a separate property that has been rented out.
In an official statement, the team said they had applied to the BMC for requisite permissions and were complying with all applicable rules, regulations and guidelines. They added that necessary changes, alterations and modifications as required by the BMC had been carried out.
The BMC reportedly demolished certain portions on October 12 following allegations of unauthorised construction. The civic body had issued a stop-work notice on September 10, directing the owner or occupant to halt work and submit necessary permissions and documents. Alleged violations included internal alterations, partition walls, window modifications and other construction work carried out without required municipal approvals.
The property, spanning 7,802 square feet, is located in Mumbai's upscale JVPD Scheme in Kapol Co-operative Housing Society.
