BMC to impose Rs 25,000 fine on construction waste trucks from Monday

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a fine of Rs 25,000 against construction waste trucks starting Monday, as part of efforts to combat worsening air quality in Mumbai.
The move comes amid concerns over rising pollution levels in the city. The BMC aims to regulate the movement and disposal of construction waste, which is considered a significant contributor to air pollution.
The civic authority plans to intensify enforcement actions against trucks transporting construction debris without proper authorization or adherence to pollution control measures.
