BSP faces existential crisis as its last Rajya Sabha member's term ends

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) faces a severe political crisis with the impending end of its parliamentary representation. Once-powerful under Mayawati, the party currently has no legislators in Uttar Pradesh and will lose its sole voice in the Rajya Sabha when member Ramji Gautam's term ends on November 25.
This marks a significant decline for a party that once wielded considerable influence in Indian politics. With no members in either House of Parliament following Gautam's departure, the BSP will have virtually no institutional presence at the national level, underscoring its diminishing relevance in the political landscape.
