Cabinet approves Green Energy Corridor Phase-III scheme with battery storage systems

The Union Cabinet has approved a Green Energy Corridors initiative aimed at bolstering India's Intra-State Transmission System (InSTS). The scheme will enable the evacuation of up to 135 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy across various states and union territories.

The move is intended to facilitate the distribution and management of renewable power generation, supporting India's clean energy expansion goals.
