Cabinet approves MSP hike for Rabi crops in 2027-28 season
The Union Cabinet has approved an increase in minimum support prices for Rabi crops for the 2027-28 season. Safflower received the steepest hike, with its MSP rising by ₹675 per quintal to ₹7,215 per quintal, representing a 10.3% jump from the previous year's level.
The MSP adjustments are part of the government's agricultural support mechanism to ensure remunerative prices for farmers and encourage crop cultivation.
