CAG flags irregularities in Cyclone Amphan relief distribution under TMC government

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has flagged irregularities in the distribution of relief funds following Cyclone Amphan in West Bengal under the Trinamool Congress government. According to the CAG report, records were altered to channel relief payments to party loyalists rather than genuine beneficiaries.
The audit identified multiple anomalies in the relief disbursement process, raising questions about the transparency and fairness of the state's disaster management response. The findings suggest that official documentation was manipulated to justify irregular payments.
