CAQM deploys flying squads in Punjab, Haryana to curb stubble burning

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has deployed flying squads across Punjab and Haryana to strengthen ground-level surveillance and prevent incidents of paddy stubble burning. The move aims to combat the practice that significantly contributes to air pollution in the region during harvest season.
Flying squads will conduct on-the-ground monitoring to identify and prevent stubble burning activities before they occur. This enforcement mechanism is part of broader efforts to manage air quality in the National Capital Region and surrounding areas.
