CBI books Arunachal anti-dam activist Bhanu Tatak over FCRA violations

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against Arunachal Pradesh anti-dam activist Bhanu Tatak over alleged violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). According to the FIR, Tatak received more than ₹17.6 lakh from various foreign organisations.

The investigation focuses on whether the activist received foreign funds without proper authorization under FCRA norms. The case comes amid broader scrutiny of NGOs and activists receiving international financial support.
