CBI Charge Sheet Reveals Twisha Sharma's Final Message: 'Let Me Die In Peace'

The CBI charge sheet filed in Bhopal District and Sessions Court has detailed the mental cruelty inflicted on Twisha Sharma by her mother-in-law Giribala Singh and husband Samarth Singh. On May 12 at 9:29 pm, just hours before her death, Twisha messaged her sister-in-law Rashi Abrol: "Ask him to collect leftover of his wife. But tomorrow. Let me die in peace."
The investigation revealed that on the day of her death, Twisha was consistently ignored by her in-laws. When she returned from a beauty parlour and tried to join them, they rebuffed her. After requesting Samarth to sleep in another room due to back pain, he became aggressive and assaulted her. Additionally, both Samarth and Giribala pressured Twisha to transfer ₹20 lakh from her Demat account to a joint SBI account opened in April 2026 for Chinese company investments, which she refused.
The post-mortem report from AIIMS Delhi and Bhopal confirmed the cause of death as asphyxia due to ante-mortem hanging, with no signs of struggle or external assault.
