CBI files FIR in Disha Salian death case, names Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty and others

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR into the death of Disha Salian, former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, nearly six years after her death. The action follows a direction from the Bombay High Court. The FIR names Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, actors Dino Morea and Sooraj Pancholi, Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, former police officer Sachin Vaze, and several others.

The CBI investigation will examine circumstances surrounding Salian's death and alleged subsequent cover-up. The FIR alleges criminal conspiracy, creation and propagation of a "false suicide story", and destruction or suppression of case papers. It also alleges misuse of public funds and police machinery.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, along with former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, police officers, forensic officials, doctors and other individuals are mentioned in the FIR as part of the investigation.
