CBSE rejects Class 6 exemption from three-language rule; SC hints at 2027 implementation

The Central Board of Secondary Education has opposed granting a one-time exemption from its three-language rule for Class 6 students. The CBSE's position came during Supreme Court proceedings on the matter.
The Supreme Court suggested implementing any changes to the three-language formula from January 2027 onwards and has sought responses from relevant parties on the proposal. The court is examining the implementation timeline and feasibility of the language policy.
