Centre open to mandating red warnings on high-sugar, high-salt, high-fat packaged foods

The Centre has indicated to the Supreme Court that it is open to mandating red warning labels on packaged foods high in sugar, salt and fat. The move follows Supreme Court scrutiny of food labelling practices and aims to enhance public health awareness.
The Centre's stance suggests a potential step towards protecting consumers, particularly children, from unhealthy food products through clearer visual warnings on packaging.
