Centre allows sale of excess tobacco in Andhra Pradesh for 2025-26 season

The Government of India has authorized the sale of excess Flue-Cured Virginia tobacco for the 2025-26 crop season in Andhra Pradesh. Both registered and unregistered growers are permitted to participate in auctions conducted on authorized platforms.

The decision follows a review of market conditions by the Department of Commerce, aimed at providing growers with additional avenues to dispose of surplus stocks.
