Centre withdraws cases against Leh protestors ahead of MHA talks

Ladakh's key civil society groups, including Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance, have submitted a list of non-negotiable demands to the administration. The groups insisted on the withdrawal of pending cases against locals arrested following the September 2025 violence in Leh.

The move comes ahead of scheduled talks between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ladakh representatives in September. The Centre's decision to withdraw cases appears aimed at smoothing the path toward dialogue with civil society groups.
