Chakma council to implement NEP from 2027-28, introduce 'Mizo Speaking Day' in schools

The Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) has decided to implement the National Education Policy beginning 2027-28. In a related move, the council resolved to observe every Wednesday as 'Mizo Speaking Day' in all primary and middle schools within the CADC area.

The initiative aims to provide students regular opportunities to learn and practice the Mizo language, reinforcing regional linguistic identity within the education system.
