Rajeev Chandrasekhar demands Kerala CM resign if assembly illegal over electoral roll claims

BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar has escalated a political row over Kerala's electoral roll, demanding that Chief Minister Pinarayi Satheesan resign if the state assembly is found to be functioning illegally.
Chandrasekhar's statement comes amid claims questioning the validity of Kerala's electoral roll and the legitimacy of the assembly itself. The BJP leader has framed the issue as a constitutional matter, asserting that if the assembly operates without a legally valid electoral roll, the CM bears responsibility.
The remarks intensify tensions between the BJP and the Kerala government, with the opposition party using electoral administration as grounds to challenge the LDF government's legitimacy. Satheesan's administration has not yet responded formally to the allegations regarding the electoral roll's legality.
