Over 2,000 Vinayagar Idols Immersed in Chennai Sea

Over 2,000 Vinayagar idols were immersed in the Chennai sea on Sunday as part of the traditional Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrations. A total of 2,054 idols were transported through processions before being immersed in the water.

The immersion ritual marks the conclusion of the ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival, which sees devotees install idols of Lord Ganesha in homes and public spaces. The immersion ceremony in Chennai witnessed significant participation from residents across the city.
